Two against one does not grant Advantage here
If one roll has both Advantage and Disadvantage, it has neither: roll one d20. The 2024 rules retain this result even when several circumstances grant one and only a single circumstance grants the other. Do not subtract counts to decide which side wins.
The Advantage/Disadvantage section of the official 2024 Basic Rules explains cancellation and that multiple Advantage sources alone still use only two d20s. This guide applies that rule to preparing a roll with DnD Dynamic Sheet.
An example with three circumstances
Hypothetical example: the DM confirms two circumstances grant Advantage on your next check and one imposes Disadvantage on that same check. The result is one d20, not two, and you do not pick the higher. If it rolls 11 and the applicable modifier is +4, the example total is 15.
The circumstances are a confirmed premise of this example; we do not assert that any assistance or obstacle produces those effects. In play, check which rule applies to that particular roll. An effect on a different roll does not enter this calculation.
If the sole Disadvantage circumstance disappears while both Advantage sources remain, use Advantage: two d20s, taking the higher. Two sources do not mean three dice. If just one Advantage source disappears, both Advantage and Disadvantage still apply: one d20.
Retain what remains active in the sheet
DnD Dynamic Sheet supports notes and tracking character actions, movement and resources. You can keep an authored note naming the causes and durations your table determined: “Advantage from A and B; Disadvantage from C; this check uses one d20.” A, B and C are example labels, not app controls.
After resolving the check, review which effect ended before preparing another. Cancellation on this roll does not erase causes that might remain active. We do not announce that the sheet automatically detects every source or independently makes the DM’s ruling.
Check the rules and the tool separately
For which die to choose when only Advantage or Disadvantage applies, also consult the official glossary. Do not confuse this with spending Heroic Inspiration to reroll a die: that is another rule.
The product brief describes DnD Dynamic Sheet as an available Windows beta focused on a local character sheet. Initial activation requires internet; you can then use the sheet and local data offline. Purchase covers a one-device license and final price appears at checkout. Review the product demonstrations, then identify the causes that apply to your next roll before touching the dice.
